OREO Stay Playful For All Program Returns for 2026 to Help Make Hockey More Accessible in Canada

OREO Stay Playful for All program is back for 2026

Hockey is one of the most popular sports in Canada, but it can be a difficult sport for many to participate in. The OREO Stay Playful For All program aims to assist by making hockey more accessible to youth across Canada.

After a successful start in 2025, OREO has brought back the program for 2026 with a total of $400,000 in donations to youth hockey programs and community foundations.

With the help of the campaign donations, more kids across Canada will get the opportunity to experience the joy of hockey.

OREO has also partnered with the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) and with the help of NHL and PWHL superstars Zach Hyman, Nick Suzuki, William Nylander, Quinn Hughes, Sarah Nurse and Marie-Philip Poulin, will provide $200,000 in new hockey equipment grants through NHLPA Goals & Dreams to 14 minor hockey teams in Canada.

If you’d like to submit your youth hockey organization for a chance to receive some of the grant money, you can do so via the OREO Stay Playful For All website until March 27th.

The grants have a value of $10,000 or $25,000 which will help provide a lot of assistance, and the recipients will be announced in April.

An exciting change for 2026 is a new benefit from OREO that’s coming to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation and MLSE Foundation. They’ve committed an extra $100,000 that will be evenly provided to both foundations to help fund local youth hockey programs in communities that need it most.

Making hockey more accessible, especially to youth across Canada is something I think we can all get behind. The Winter Olympic games just around the corner are a reminder of this. Every kid who wants to start playing hockey should get the chance to. Who knows, someday they might even represent Team Canada playing hockey on the biggest stage in the world!
