Costco’s New House Brand Cream Cheese

Costco's New Cream Cheese

Step aside Philly Cream Cheese, a new competitor in the cream cheese market just entered the game. Costco has just started selling their own house brand cream cheese and they are good!

With Costco’s cult-like following, they could launch pretty much anything and fans would gobble it up. Their latest house-brand creation is cream cheese and it comes in 3 flavours: Strawberry, Jalepeno, and Roasted Garlic.

They’re available in the open cooler section (obviously) and will set you back $4.99 each for a 1 pound (0.454kg) tub.

Costco Roasted Garlic Cream Cheese Spread on a Bagel

I tried the roasted garlic cream cheese and thought it was pretty good. It has a much richer and heavier garlic taste than you’d get from pre-packaged cream cheeses (like Philly). You can literally see the bits and pieces of roasted garlic in the cream cheese and as any Costco fan knows, they don’t skimp on things.

I would definitely buy the roasted garlic cream cheese again and plan on trying the other flavours out soon. Have you tried the new cream cheeses from Costco? Let me know what you think of them in the comments.
