Tim Hortons Quietly Adds New Cheesy Garlic Bread to Its Menu

Tim Hortons' New Cheesy Garlic Bread

Usually new menu items are met with a lot of marketing and fanfare, but this time Tim Hortons decided to quietly release their new Cheesy Garlic Bread in Canada.

There’s been a lot of Tim Hortons news in the past month including the return of Roll Up to Win cups after 5 long years, and also an upgraded Chocolate Chunk Cookie.

For whatever reason, Tim Hortons decided to drop their new Cheesy Garlic Bread without so much as a peep. I noticed the new item appear on the menu on March 6th, however it’s possible it may have been released a few days earlier.

You can order the new Cheesy Garlic Bread menu item both in-store and via the Tim Hortons mobile app. On the mobile app you’ll find it under both the Featured Items and Lunch & Dinner menu categories.

While no official description is available, it’s a small loaf of bread that’s cut to pull apart into 4 pieces, brushed with a garlic spread, with shredded cheese on top. The website lists it at 400 calories.

While the Cheesy Garlic Bread doesn’t include a dip your options in the mobile app include Ranch, Chipotle, Cilantro Lime, Habanero, and Creamy BBQ dips. While I’m sure most of those are great, I’m a classic marinara dip person and I was able to get that even though it’s not listed as an option.

Review:

I love garlic bread and I also love cheesy pull apart bread, so Tim Hortons’ new Cheesy Garlic Bread is right up my alley.

The size is just right for one person to have as a snack. It’s definitely not big enough to have as a meal unless you’re not a big eater. My order came up quickly and was VERY hot. This was key because nobody likes a cold garlic bread and you can’t get those epic cheese pulls if it’s not hot and gooey.

Overall, the taste was good, but not something I’m dying to have again. I give the bread a 5/10, the cheese + garlic spread a 7/10, for a combined score of 6/10.

The new Cheesy Garlic Bread is $3.49 (prices can vary by region) so it’s about the same price as 2 doughnuts. I recommend it as something everyone should try at least once. Whether you want to get it again, that’s up for debate.

There’s no word on if the new Cheesy Garlic Bread is here for a limited time only or if it’s permanent menu item. Tim Hortons is always experimenting with their menu so you never know what the future might hold.

If you want to give it a try, I’d recommend heading out sooner rather than later so that you don’t risk missing out.
