Tom Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration for Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. This event comes with some great food deals and we’ve rounded them up for you below.
The translation of Cinco de Mayo is fifth of May and as you’ve probably already guessed, the deals are all based around that date.
Many popular restaurants here in Canada will be participating in Cinco de Mayo festivities by offering some amazing deals on their most popular menu items.

Without further ado, here are the best Cinco de Mayo food deals in Canada this year:
Bar Burrito
Get a regular-sized burrito for $6.99 or a bowl for $7.99. Available in-store and through the BarBurrito app on May 5th.
Fresh Burrito
Get a 10” small chicken, veggie, or tofu burrito for just $5 (cheese extra). Available in-store, on their website, and through the Fresh Burrito app on May 5th.
Chipotle
In typical Chipotle fashion, the deal is good, but complicated. From May 1st to May 5th, you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a $0 delivery fee by using code DELIVERY.
From May 3rd through May 5th, you can get free chips and Queso Blanco with promo code CINCO25.
To get the best Cinco de Mayo deal, you’ll need to play the Chipotle Burrito Builder game in Roblox. I’m sure this requirement just made a lot of eyes roll but it is what it is. Here are the details:
- Roblox users will meet an employee inside Chipotle’s virtual restaurant in the Burrito Builder experience. Users will get a starter pack of five unique ingredient cards to begin the Ingredient Quest experience. The goal of “Ingredient Quest” is to collect all 53 ingredient cards.
- Users must roll burritos in Burrito Builder to earn Burrito Bucks, which can be redeemed for ingredient card packs. Each card pack contains five cards. Forty ingredient cards are available in card packs.
- The remaining eight ingredient cards are hidden throughout Chipotle’s Burrito Builder experience in a virtual scavenger hunt.
- The first 50,000 users to collect all 53 unique ingredient cards will unlock a free entrée offer.
Mucho Burrito
Now back to easier to obtain deals with Mucho Burrito’s 5 days of Cinco de Mayo deals. The deals start on May 5th and run through May 9th. We’ve listed the daily deals for you below.
