Tom Move over Footlong cookies, delicious new Doritos Footlong Nachos are the newest craze at Subway Canada and they’re available right now!
Yes you read that right, new Doritos Footlong Nachos have arrived at Subway Canada.
This new menu item was officially revealed on April 17th, however you could find it at select Subway Canada locations even earlier than that. I myself had the pleasure of trying this new snack out last week after I saw it being advertised at a location near me.
Review:
This iconic mashup of Doritos and Subway is exactly the type of thing I love to try, and from my very first bite I knew they had a hit on their hands with Doritos Footlong Nachos.
It starts off with a bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese tortilla chips which are added to a Footlong tray and then covered with shredded cheese. This goes into the oven to get the cheese all nice and melted, and then it’s topped with crisp lettuce, zesty salsa mix, and a spicy kick of jalapeños.
To top it off it’s given a good drizzle of Chipotle Southwest Sauce which has a nice smoky and creamy flavour.
This is advertised as a snack/side so don’t expect this to be a full meal, unless you’re a very light eater. I found all the flavours went together very well, and my only criticism was that its a touch on the salty side.
Overall, I think this is a very good snack for when you’re on the go and the price is definitely right. I give it an 8 out of 10, and I’d have given it a slighty higher score if they had Cool Ranch Doritos available because they’re my fave.
What’s The Price?
With food prices everywhere on the rise, I was expecting this to be more expensive than it actually was.
You can get the new Doritos Footlong Nachos for just $4 at Subway Canada which I feel is a very fair price for 2025.
You have the option to kick it up a notch by adding a protein (chicken or steak) to the nachos for an additional $2. It’s definitely a good option if you’re looking to make this more filling.
If you’re ordering a regular entree, you can upgrade to the Doritos Footlong Nachos as part of your combo for an additional $2. This is a great option over going with a regular bag of chips.
