Tom We’re just barely into March and there have already been a lot of great new soda releases this year. The latest big news comes from Mountain Dew where they’ve just announced that they’re bringing back Supernova and Summer Freeze.
Both of these flavours are widely regarded as some of the best from Mountain Dew past, and this will mark the 3rd time each has returned.
Summer Freeze was last available in 2025, so while it hasn’t been long since it’s been gone, it’s a very welcome sight to see it back. As its name suggests, it’s an excellent drink for those hot summer days.
Supernova has been gone for longer, and there were a rumours swirling around about its possible return to Canada last year. While that never did happen, we can finally get excited because it’s been confirmed to be returning this year.
If you’re unfamiliar with these Mountain Dew flavours, here’s the official description of each:
Summer Freeze – A red‑white‑and‑blue, ice‑pop‑inspired Dew that tastes like corner‑store summers.
Supernova – A vivid strawberry‑melon Dew that has built a true consumer following.
Both new flavours will officially be released on March 23rd and you can find them in 591mL bottles at gas and convenience stores nationwide.
Summer Freeze is returning as a limited-time release, while Supernova is joining the Mountain Dew permanent lineup.
