Canadians recently had to say farewell their beloved Nestea iced tea, but fear not because Fuze iced tea is taking its place and they’re giving away free samples in Canada.
For decades, Nestea was a staple in Canadian grocery stores. The lemony ice tea flavour was both sweet and smooth, providing an extremely refreshing thirst quenching drink on those hot summer days (or even in the middle of winter).

When the news first came out, Nestea fans had mixed emotions because it’s always sad news when a product so loved, is discontinued or changed.
“New name, same taste: The iconic taste Canadians have enjoyed for decades will now be produced by Coca-Cola under the FUZE® Iced Tea brand”
Coca-Cola, the producer of Fuze (and formerly of Nestea), has assured us that while the name and look have changed, the delicious taste we have come to love over the years will be the same as it always has been.
“The iconic iced tea flavour that Canadians have enjoyed for years is here to stay,” said Jacques Blanchet, Director of Integrated Marketing for Coca-Cola Canada. “FUZE® Iced Tea is made using the same recipe, with the same ingredients sourced from the same suppliers, at the same Canadian facilities where we have made iced tea for decades.”
Having had the chance to try Fuze myself, and still having many leftover cans of Nestea in my home today, I can confirm that their claims of the products taste being the same to be true. I am just a casual foodie, and not a professional taste-tester so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

One surprising thing that Coca-Cola did to kick off the rebranding of Nestea to Fuze was to do a massive Canada-wide free sample giveaway in partnership with Circle K and Couche-Tard.
Free Sample:
To get a free sample of Fuze iced tea, head to this webpage and fill out the form. Once you do that, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to redeem your free bottle of Fuze iced tea at either Circle K or Couche-Tard.
Remember, the free samples are while supplies last so make sure to complete the form and redeem your free drink sooner rather than later.
As always, it’s sad to see a product you loved leave the market, but in this case we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief because you’ll still be able to enjoy the same great taste of Nestea with Fuze.
