Your next visit to the Costco food court might just be a little more expensive because Costco has raised the price on multiple menu items in Canada.
While the food court at Costco has typically remained a great value over the years, hallmarked by it’s $1.50 recession busting Hot Dog Combo, the other menu items have not been as lucky in avoiding price increases.

The latest price increases took effect in late January 2025 and saw the price of multiple menu items going up from $0.50 to $1.00 respectively.
Here are the menu items that went up in price and by how much:
Chicken Strips and Fries $7.99 (was $6.99, +14.3% increase)
Poutine $6.99 (was $5.99, +16.7% increase)
French Fries $3.49 (was $2.99, 16.7% increase)
The food court at Costco still remains a great overall value, however with continued price increases it’s only a matter of time until prices begin to equalize with competing quick service restaurant chains such as McDonald’s and Domino’s Pizza especially when they offer things that Costco doesn’t such as rewards programs and coupon offers.
At the end of the day, we should just be happy that the hot dog combo is still just $1.50, and is quite possibly the best priced item on ANY regular food court menu in Canada.
For now lets just keep our fingers crossed that our beloved chicken wings someday return to the food court at Costco because the loss of those still stings to this very day.
