Costco Canada Food Courts Now Serving Coca-Cola Fountain Drinks (Pepsi is Out)

Costco Canada Food Court Switches to Coca-Cola from Pepsi

The next time you visit Costco Canada you might notice something different in the food court because they’ve just started replacing the Pepsi fountain drinks with Coca-Cola products.

This is a huge new change and one that you’ll either love, or hate. As a lifelong Coke fan myself, I see this being an absolute win, but I do have sympathy for the Pepsi fans out there.

Costco Canada Food Court Now Serving Up Coca-Cola Drinks

I spotted the updated fountain drink machines at the Orillia, Ontario location on July 5th, and Coca-Cola drinks were also pouring at the Gloucester and Newmarket locations as well.

Costco Canada’s plans are to have them replaced Canada-wide before the end of summer 2025 with the goal of switching 2 locations per day until all stores have been converted.

The last time the Costco Canada fountains were pouring Coca-Cola beverages was way back in 2013. For the past 12+ years your only option at the food court was the standard selection of Pepsi products, which included Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, 7up, Mountain Dew and select other drinks.

Now when you get your next Hot Dog combo or just buy a drink on its own, you’ll be greeted with a classic red and white Coca-Cola cup for you to take to the updated fountain drink machines.

Costco Canada Food Court Coca-Cola Drink Selections

Here’s what the new Coca-Cola fountain drink machines at Costco Canada are serving:

  • Coca-Cola Classic (x2)
  • Coca-Cola Zero Sugar (x2)
  • Orange Fanta
  • Fuze Iced Tea
  • Sprite
  • Diet Coke

After sharing this discovery on social media a lot of people were weighing in on the change, with many loving it, and as expected, many not loving it as well. Common complaints were no longer having Root Beer or Lemonade options, and also just Pepsi fans not loving Coke.

For me, this is a very welcomed change and it will definitely lead to more visits to the Costco Canada food court after my weekly shopping trips. Whether it affects the overall sales numbers at the food court or not? Only time will tell.

The switch back to Coca-Cola from Pepsi was first announced back on January 23rd during Costco’s annual shareholders meeting.

The changeover from Pepsi to Coke began in select US Costco warehouses in mid-March, and the first Canadian locations officially made the switch starting in July 2025.

March also saw the price of fountain drinks in Canada increase from $0.89 to $0.99, an almost 12% jump. There were also other food court price increases earlier this year on select food items.

Don’t worry though, the infamous hot dog combo is still $1.50 and with any luck it will continue to be sold at the same ridiculously low price for the foreseeable future.
