If you’ve been hoping that the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich would return to the Costco Canada food court, it’s your lucky day because the popular menu item is officially coming back.
One of the best parts about going to Costco Canada is enjoying a cheap bite to eat at the food court after you probably spent more than you planned to in the store.
While the food court menu at Costco Canada rarely changes, when it does change it’s a pretty big deal and people everywhere take notice.
Rumours of a new menu addition started swirling in early April 2025, and then on April 9th official confirmation came via the Costco Canada Instagram account.
The announcement was the most liked post of the week and had over 200 people in the comments buzzing with excitement.
No exact date of the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich’s return was given, but from insider info it appears that it should start to appear at most locations nationwide this month.
The sandwich is rumoured to be priced at $7.99 and if the photo is correct, should come with a side pickle.
If you have been a Costco shopper for a while, you’ll remember when they used to have this on their menu and it was a sad day when they decided to remove it from the menu.
Enough of you must’ve filled out comment cards over the years asking for it to be brought back. I can only assume the same movement is happening as well over the more recent removal of chicken wings from the food court menu.
This isn’t the only new change happening at the food court this year. In January Costco made the announcement that they’re changing their fountain drinks from Pepsi, back to Coca-Cola.
The change to Coca-Cola has already started in US warehouses and it’s expected to happen in Canada by early summer.
Another recent change at the food court was a price increase on multiple menu items back in February.
